Rhubarb & Honey Hospitality Group announces another GRANDinetti project:
Dr. Brownstone’s BBQ, a North Carolina BBQ Concept, opening Spring 2019.
Chef Timothy Grandinetti, of Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar, announces today that he will open Dr. Brownstone’s BBQ, Take Out & Catering; his take on “old-school” North Carolina BBQ, in the Spring of 2019.
The 48-seat BBQ restaurant will be located alongside the Lowe’s Foods of Bermuda Run in the Kinderton Place Shopping Center on Highway 801 North, Advance, NC. Just 10 miles from Downtown Winston-Salem – a short 15 minute drive; and 30 miles from Statesville – a super easy drive down Highway 40. Convenient to the vibrant communities of Clemmons, Lewisville, Bermuda Run, Kinderton Village, Oak Valley & Mocksville.
“The family-friendly ambiance allows for warm, lighthearted and genuine Southern hospitality,” said Grandinetti. “Step right up to the counter for top notch NC-inspired BBQ, signature sandwiches, traditional sides & Chef-crafted desserts – take a chair and sit a spell in our comfortable dining room.” “Dr. Brownstone’s BBQ is committed to creating delicious foods while striving to make the world a more wonderful place! With a strong commitment to sustainability; all foods and beverages will be served with eco-friendly, compostable service ware.” “And, like any good BBQ joint – an efficient, take-away program that will feature “Curb Service” for fast, convenient pick up.”
A classically trained Chef, Grandinetti has a true passion for the art of BBQ! He was invited to compete on the Food Network’s Chopped: BBQ Grill Masters. Food Network traveled to the Arizona desert for a special five-part themed Chopped: Grill Masters Cooking Extravaganza. Over five-weeks based outside at the nostalgic Old Tucson Studios, Chef Grandinetti and 15 Grill Masters from around the country participated in this captivating Wild West showdown. Chopped favorites Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy and Aarón Sánchez presided at the judging table, with astonishing mystery ingredients and tremendously talented BBQ competitors.
As for the menu, expect an homage to authentic North Carolina BBQ and FLAVOR BOMBS that will be ingredient-driven, highly thoughtful, intensely flavorful and expertly prepared. Specializing in Pork, Chicken and Signature Sandwiches; the menu will be anchored by Award-Winning Pork Spare Ribs, Slow-Cooked Chicken with Alabama-Style White BBQ Sauce, Smoked Pork Roast Au Jus and Classic Carolina Pulled Pork. Grandinetti will be cooking with Southern BBQ influences: ingredients will be responsibly sourced and recipes will be steeped in North Carolina tradition, Grandinetti’s BBQ travels, and modern culinary techniques.
